The brief: The studio was approached by Steve McQueen to develop and design a double sided cabinet for a sculpture called ‘For Queen and Country’. The cabinet would display pages of facsimile stamps. The images on the stamps would be photographic portraits ¬†of British service men and women who had lost their lives in the Iraq conflict. The cabinet was made in Oak with a powder coated steel base. The vertical sliding units are double sided with space for a sheet on each side, there are one hundred and twenty sliding units in the cabinet.
